iPhone
(1) (InternetPhone) See IP phone and softphone.
(2) A smartphone from Apple that integrates cellphone, iPod music player, camera, text messaging, e-mail and Web browsing. Introduced in the summer of 2007, the iPhone is only available from AT&T (formerly Cingular) until 2009.
The iPhone's user interface is operated entirely on a 3.5" touch screen, except for one physical button that displays the main menu. Although the phone does not include the scroll wheel that made the iPod famous, its user interface is nevertheless a breakthrough in usability. Among many clever features, turning the phone on its side automatically rotates the screen to landscape mode.
One major drawback is the battery. Unlike any other cellphone, but following in the path of the iPod, the unit is sealed. Approximately, every two years, the phone must be sent to Apple for a new battery. At the launch, the new battery, along with loaner phone, was priced at $117, drawing of criticism for the cost and inconvenience. There is also no memory card slot for expansion. See iPod.
Quite a Frenzy
In the history of the cellular industry, no phone ever created so much buzz with some people camping out overnight to be first in line. AT&T/Cingular stores closed early Friday June 29, 2007 to set up the displays, reopen at 6pm and stay late to accommodate customers. iPhone activation can also be done at home in the iTunes software, but due to heavy demand, some of the first subscribers had to wait hours to complete the process. See iTunes.
A Brief Name Conflict
The name was obviously chosen to capitalize on the worldwide name recognition of the iPod; however, "iPhone" was trademarked by Infogear, later acquired by Cisco. Shortly before the iPhone's offical launch, Cisco agreed to share the name.
iPhone Specifications
The iPhone is a quad-band GSM phone with music and video playback and a two-megapixel camera. It includes up to 8GB of flash storage and Bluetooth for wireless headphones. For Internet access, it offers Wi-Fi for hotspot connections and the slower EDGE cellular data network when a hotspot is not available. Powered by an ARM processor, it uses a custom version of the Mac OS X operating system.

FUTURE TECHNOLOGY AND TOPIC OF DISCUSSION
From the ancient time, the development of technology has been stepping up and up. We will find later that, how there was technological development step by step in more details. The step to step description will be on particular machines or tools. Those will include computers, microwave, radio, telephone, television, different vehicles, world famous sky scrappers, different buildings, microchips, etc and etc. The first detail description will be in “Computers “ and probably it will start from 20th September, 2007. Starting from the history of Computers, I will be ending it with the next generation computers. In between I will be mentioning all the history, facts, documentaries, invents, with proofs of pictures and videos as much as it is possible. I would like to inform my dear viewers that all the things posted in the site regarding my topics of discussion would be true and real. I would try to search more and more from different media like internet, magazines, and newspapers and would be more excited to know your comments regarding my site and my materials.

WHAT IS TECHNOLOGY?
Actually there is no any perfect definition of technology. Different people have different views regarding the definition. But in my view, technology is the relationship that society has with its tools and crafts, and to what extent society can control its environment. According to Webster dictionary the term technology means: "the practical application of knowledge especially in a particular area" and "a capability given by the practical application of knowledge.
Moreover Ursula Franklin, in her 1989 "Real World of Technology" lecture, gave another definition of the concept; it is "practice, the way we do things around here". The term is often used to imply a specific field of technology, or to refer to high technology, rather than technology as a whole. However, the term is mostly used in three different contexts: when referring to a tool (or machine); a technique; the cultural force; or a combination of the three.
In this way we can find different meanings of technology from different sources. However, we can analyse from above definitions and finally conclude the same gist of technology. Simply "technology" means techniques to use machines in systematic and scientific ways so that we can benefit as much as possible. Adding further I think technology means the state of knowledge which helps us to combine the available resources to solve the needs and produce desired products.

BACKGROUND OF TECHNOLOGY
Today is the world of Information and Technology(IT). In this growing world everything is
getting shorter, nearer and easily accessible. Shorter in the sense of distance and moreover everything and everyplace around the world is easily accessible. These all are due to Technology and its development from the time. [Before even just to write in a paper it used to being a great deal. They just used feather of birds and dip it in bowl of ink made of leaves of certain plants.] From above example we can easily guess the situation at that time and if you compare with modern instruments, it would just be incomparable.

Nevertheless we cannot neglect that. It is because it provide us the step towards the development of technology. The people at that time had great creativity and thinking capacity. The feather and the modern pen are similar in shape and design and ways of using them are also very similar. Only the things are, these modern pen has ink storage and exemplified nibs which run smoothly and efficiently.
Above mentioned is just a simple example about the technology and its development from the time.
